Earlier this year, Lamborghini bid farewell to its iconic V-12 gas-powered supercars, marking a shift towards electric vehicles. The Huracan and Urus models, the last gas-powered offerings, are now sold out. Lamborghini is steering away from fully gas-powered supercars, focusing on plug-in hybrids like the impressive Revuelto. The Revuelto boasts a V12 engine and three electric motors, delivering 1,001 horsepower and a remarkable 0 to 60 mph in about 2.5 seconds.

While CEO Stephan Winkelmann envisions a potential return of internal combustion engines post-2030 using synthetic fuel technology, McLaren shares a similar outlook. This approach could maintain traditional characteristics with a lower carbon footprint. However, the transition to synthetic fuel faces challenges compared to electric vehicles.




Until then, Lamborghini exclusively offers plug-in hybrid supercars, anticipating its first fully electric model by 2030.
