Raptor Overtakes TRX HP!
Nearly 15 years have passed since Ford unleashed the F-150 Raptor, initially equipped with a 5.4-liter V-8.
The 6.2-liter V-8 took over, but in 2017, Ford surprised fans by swapping it for a 450-hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. Ram's TRX posed a challenge in 2021, yet Ford's response, the 2023 Raptor R, was met with skepticism due to its 700 hp, lagging behind the TRX and Shelby GT500 Mustang.
Now, Ford unveils the 2024 Raptor R, dealing a final blow to the TRX with a power boost to 720 hp.
The increase, attributed to reduced air inlet losses and optimized engine calibration, makes it the most potent full-size gas-powered pickup ever. Despite maintaining torque at 640 lb-ft, the wider curve enhances performance.
The 2024 Raptor R, featuring cosmetic updates and improved dampers, hits the market early next year at a starting price of $111,550.
