In 2022, Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc in South Florida, causing widespread devastation, including significant damage to homes and cherished vehicles. Among the affected was a McLaren P1, captivating the internet with images and videos of the hypercar submerged in a flooded garage, eventually breaking through the garage door amidst a relentless storm surge.

The unfortunate owner, Ernie (@lambo9286), also saw his Rolls-Royce submerged under 2-3 feet of water.

Recently, the 2014 McLaren P1 resurfaced, making headlines as it fetched $575,000 at a Copart auction. The proud new owner? None other than automotive YouTube influencer Tavarish, renowned for tackling formidable restoration projects. Having previously revived a severely damaged McLaren 675LT with a cracked carbon tub, Tavarish now faces the intricate challenges and costs associated with restoring the hybrid batteries in the P1.

Wishing him success, fans anticipate the iconic P1's triumphant return to the open road!
