Garrett Mitchell, known as Cleetus McFarland, embarked on an exciting new car project featured on their popular YouTube channel.

The journey began two months ago when Mitchell presented two potential homes for a 7.3-liter Godzilla power plant in a past video: a Fox Body or a Holden Ute.

Viewers participated in the decision-making, and based on overwhelming comments, the Fox Body emerged as the favorite.

The 7.3-liter Godzilla engine, a recent addition to Ford Motor Company's Super Duty truck lineup, intrigued the racing community.

With its limited presence in Mustangs, the crew, including James Taal from the Cleetus McFarland Channel, recognized the untapped potential in pairing the engine with the proven Mustang platform.

The crew's excitement peaked as they carefully lowered the sizable engine into the compact Fox Body engine compartment.

Anticipating challenges, discussions revolved around potential modifications, such as cutting sheet metal, adjusting the K-member, and contemplating power adders like a big single turbo.

Suspension and body enhancements included considerations like modifying the firewall and floor pan, incorporating a tubular K-member, choosing a different oil pan, and opting for TRZ control arms.

Although the drivetrain details are pending, the commitment to a stick shift transmission is confirmed. Mitchell expressed the aspiration for an eight-second stick car, making this build a valuable resource for those contemplating a similar engine swap in the future.
